Gibbons Fine Grill - Experience Fine Dining with Sandwiches, Burgers, and Seafood

If you want to skip this long comment, just go to Gibbons. It's a gem of Shreveport if not Louisiana itself. It's Fine dining with a casual feel. It was phenomenal, truly. All the staff was dressed in tie and slacks. Very professional and they made you feel comfortable. We started with a triple dip. Spinach, salsa, and queso. It's still a debate with my wife and I which was better. We both ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was amazing. A bit of smokiness, thick bacon, with an onion ring and a bbq ranch sauce. It was craftsmanship. As we were enjoying our food, I ordered an old fashion. Buffalo trace instead of Makers Mark. It was beautifully made and bitter sweet how I like it. Included was a sugar stick. Please, just go. It feels inappropriate to accurately describe it as good because it surpassed any restaurant experience I've had in my life.

Get here early!! This place gets packed so fast but it’s completely worth it. The food is very good and very fair priced. You won’t find food so good and priced this fair, anywhere. We will be back.

We eat here from time to time. Prices are fair for a great meal ! It's easy to find and easy to get in/ get out of the parking lot. The parking itself is pretty big, but you also have the huuuuuge parking lot behind it. Suitable for all large vehicles/trailers !! The fun part is the round a bout door to go in Don't worry if you are in a wheelchair as they have a regular door, too. Lotsa handicap parking, but even so, the spaces do fill up once they start getting busy. You walk in and may be seated quickly - depending how busy they are. There is a great Wine Wall when you first step. I do not drink wine, but I love looking at the wall ( see photo). The dining area is huge to include a bar section with TVs separated by a wall. Tables and booths are available. The menu has a good variety of appetizers and entrés. Honestly, tho, I did not even look at the desert menu All the servers have been fantastic every time we've been. Today was Fabian - totally awesome service !! The food is tasty - or we wouldn't go as often as we do You CAN make reservations. When we go on Sunday I surely do ! They do get quite a wait list. Closed on Monday.

We ate the night before Valentine's so it was quite busy, hence the wait for the table which was about 45 minutes for a couple. Our server, I believe his name was Mark, was superb, clean and attentive. Our food was also hot and delicious. We had the spinach dip as an appetizer. My Husband got steak, baked potato and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was gooey goodness and cooked to perfection. I had the trio with etoufee, grilled shrimp and fried shrimp. As a chef and deep state Louisianian, the etouffee was not good. Something was off about it, and that seems to be a common consensus. The grilled shrimp, though!!! Packed with flavor. I could have ate pounds of those alone. Definitely will be a regular in our dining rotation And the meal was very affordable.

Will stop by again to explore more menu options. Service was great, the host sat us in an adequate amount of time. Food was comforting.

Our waiter Jaydon was phenomenal!! The atmosphere made you feel like you were home! The food was AMAZING!! We had two appetizers, side salads, the red fish plate, Hawaiian grilled chicken, and two desserts for under $65! More than we could eat and the food was delicious!! Easy to see why they stay packed! We will be back to try something new on the menu!! Hard to find good quality food for a reasonable price these days! Gibbons knocked it out of the park!! Thanks for a wonderful meal!!

This was a welcome treat in Shreveport Louisiana. Me and the wife googled places to eat and Gibbons popped up with great reviews. Pulling into the parking lot, the lot was completely full of cars, which almost prompted us to find another place. But...we had to know why this place was so popular!!! Walked in, gave our name for a place in line. We were 8 spots back with a 20 minute wait. People were leaving as fast as they were coming in. The 20 minute mark was on point, we were seated promptly. Our hostess was Judy M. Wonderful and delightful woman. Very friendly, and accommodating. She checked on us many many times which is not the norm in most restaurants. We enjoyed the service greatly. We had firecracker shrimp appetizer, which were phenomenal. I had Mahi Mahi, which was amazing. My wife had Salmon which was good. I am a coffee drinker, so I ordered a cup of coffee. It was served in a very large cup, and was very nice. The service, atmosphere, and food are impeccable. The waitstaff were on point cleaning and clearing table in such a manner that didnt take away from our dining experience. The price point was very economical as well. We commented on these points to our server who graciously informed us that the owners took pride in providing a restaurant that touched on all points, great service, food, and atmosphere. I would have liked for it to have been served over cole slaw. The dry texture of the slaw, although tasty was a little dry. But then again maybe it wasn't meant to be consumed? Just an idea!!
